Matthew Saderholm graduated from Berea College in 1992 and received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 1998. The following year, he returned to Berea as a member of the chemistry department. Today, he holds the rank of Associate Professor and is the chair of Division I, which includes the biology, chemistry, math, physics, and nursing programs.
Saderholm has been the recipient of numerous awards including a Fulbright Fellowship, a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, Charles N. Reilley Fellowship, and NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship. He is a member of the American Peptide Society, American Chemical Society, and Kentucky Academy of Science.
